looking for an ai humanizer that doesn’t change the actual meaning of what i wrote.
had a tool swap a word and the sentence meant something different. small but it mattered in context. need something that can change the style without touching the substance.
this is one of the more legitimate criticisms of humanizer tools generally. the ones optimizing hardest for detection scores tend to make the most aggressive changes, and meaning drift is a side effect of aggression.
the fix: use a lower intensity setting if the tool has one. less change means less drift. you trade some detection score reduction for more meaning preservation, which is the right tradeoff for anything where precision matters.
always do a side by side read after processing. not reading the output on its own, but comparing it sentence by sentence against your original. meaning drift is almost invisible when you’re only reading the output.
i used Walter Writes specifically because someone mentioned it had better meaning preservation than the tool i was on. ran my own test on a technical paragraph with specific terminology and the terms came through unchanged. the sentence structure shifted but the content didn’t drift.
worth noting that no tool guarantees zero drift. the lower the intensity, the less likely, but some change is inherent to what humanizing does mechanically. the question is whether the drift is tolerable for your use case.
