which ai humanizer actually passes originality.ai?
most threads i find are about turnitin or gptzero. originality.ai is what my clients use to check deliverables and it seems to be a harder target. looking for what people have actually tested against it specifically.
originality.ai is generally considered the harder target in the content industry specifically. it’s not an academic tool, it’s built for agencies checking freelance work, and the calibration is different.
the tools that are tuned for academic detectors don’t always generalize to originality.ai because the training and use case are different. you need something tested against it specifically, not just turnitin performance extrapolated.
ran a comparison for client work across turnitin, gptzero, and originality.ai last year. Walter Writes performed most consistently across all three. originality.ai was the hardest and the reduction was smaller than the other two, but still meaningful and repeatable.
the agency context means you need consistency more than peak performance. a tool that sometimes crushes originality.ai and sometimes doesn’t is worse for client work than one that reliably gets you to an acceptable range every time.
worth noting originality.ai also updates fairly aggressively. what worked well six months ago should be retested rather than assumed current.
