What is a good QuillBot alternative for paraphrasing?
I stopped using dedicated paraphrasers. I paste the paragraph into a general chat assistant and tell it which terms must stay exactly as written. One prompt, same result, no extra account.

I am a freelance technical writer, and I mostly use a paraphraser to restate my own release notes and help-center paragraphs for different audiences: one version for admins, one for end users, one for a short newsletter blurb.
QuillBot has worked, but I keep running into two problems. The free version stops me partway through a long document, and the rewrites sometimes swap product terms for synonyms, so a "workspace" becomes a "work area" and I have to hunt every one down. In my field a renamed UI label is a bug.
I do not need anything fancy. I need a paraphraser that handles short passages, lets me set a tone, and ideally works where I already write. I keep a checklist for tool trials and I am happy to run a few. Which alternatives are worth putting on it, and what should the checklist include for terminology?

Give people something to work with: at least 30 words on what happened and what you tried.
That is too long. Keep it under 6,000 characters.
